Sometimes even platinum-selling rappers need help finding love. Witness VH1’s once-and-future celebreality contestant The Game (nee Jayceon Taylor), whose quest for the perfect woman will chronicled on the cable network’s new dating competition She’s Got Game. If the name Game sounds familiar to reality dilettantes, he was the focus for three seasons of VH1’s Marrying The Game, in which Taylor and his longtime fiancée Tiffney Cambridge prepared for holy matrimony until she called off the wedding at the end of Season 1. Cameras continued to roll for two more seasons as they tried to work things out. Enter She’s Got Game.

The 10-episode Game show will premiere in the summer, tied to Taylor’s upcoming album and concert tour. VH1’s press notes tell us he’s “tired of picking the wrong women” — take that, Tiffney! — and is turning to his industry pals to see who can find the right one. Each celebrity will select a young woman to accompany Game on his tour. But pray tell which will succumb to the lifestyle, and which will win his heart?

“Relationships are hard, and The Game knows that working in the entertainment business makes it even harder,” said Susan Levison, VH1’s EVP Original Programming & Production, possibly with a straight face. “In this series, he gets to try a different strategy, taking the advice and suggestions of the friends who know him best. We can’t wait to go on this adventure with the Game as he searches for the woman that could ultimately be his match.”
