“Company vet takes the reins as co-founder Mark Cronin exits for startup venture.”

Christian Sarabia has been upped to president of Endemol North America’s 51 Minds production imprint.

The change at the top follows the elevation in October of 51 Minds topper Cris Abrego to the co-chairman/CEO post at Endemol’s U.S. division alongside Charlie Corwin.

As part of the shuffle, 51 Minds co-co-founder and managing director Mark Cronin is exiting the company to launch a new venture dubbed Little Wooden Boat Prods. He’ll continue to serve as exec producer on select 51 Minds productions, including Bravo’s “Below Deck” and Syfy’s “Heroes of CosPlay.”

Sarabia (pictured) has worked his way up the ranks at 51 Minds, starting out on VH1’s “The Surreal Life” and “Flavor of Love.” More recently, he’s served as the showrunner of VH1’s “Marrying the Game” and “TI & Tiny: The Family Hustle.”

“Mark is one of the most prolific producers in the unscripted space.  His creative instincts have been the driving force behind his extraordinary success. I look forward to working with him as a creative and talented producer,” Abrego said. “Christian worked with us at 51 Minds on some of our most successful hits and he has nurtured a number of cable’s highest rated series.”
